a National Accounts Manager for Polar USA, David consults with
numerous Olympic, collegiate, and professional teams regarding
the use of heart rate technology. Previously, Dave has also worked
for his alma mater, Rutgers University, as a Fitness Coordinator,
Personal Training Director, and Adjunct Professor. He has also
worked in corporate fitness. His private training clientele includes
collegiate and high school athletes, adults and children, and
those with special needs or medical concerns. Dave earned his
MA at Montclair State University, and holds multiple certifications
with the NSCA and USAW. Dave has written articles
for various publications such as the ACSM Certification Blog,
Men's Fitness, The Fitness Expert Network, Men's Health, The Performance
Menu, and FitOrbit.com. He has also been a presenter at NSCA NJ
State Clinics as well as the CSCCa National Conference.

Dr.
Shawn Arent joined the faculty in the department of exercise Science
and Sports Studies at Rutgers University in the fall of 2002 after
completing his doctorate in Exercise Science at Arizona State University
with an emphasis in exercise physiology as well as sport & exercise
psychology. Dr. Arent also completed his MS at Arizona State and
received his BA from the University of Virginia. His research focuses
on the physiological and psychological determinants of adaptive
responses to sport and exercise, with and emphasis on adolescents.
He has received research funding from various sources, including
the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Life Fitness Academy, and nutritional
biotechnology companies. His research has appeared in journals such
as Journal of Aging and Physical Activity, Journal of Sport & Exercise
Psychology, Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, International
Journal of Soccer & Science, and Journal of Strength & Conditioning
Research, and he has also written a number of book chapters. Such
popular media outlets as Shape Magazine, Men's Health, Women's Health,
Prevention, and Self have also recognized his work. In addition
to teaching courses in exercise physiology, exercise biochemistry,
exercise testing and prescription, and research methods, Dr. Arent
also serves as the Director of the Exercise Science and Sports Studies
Honors Research Program, Director of the Rutgers University Human
Performance Lab, and Research Director for the Youth Sport Research
Council. Dr. Arent also provides performance enhancement advice
for youth, high school, collegiate, & professional athletes in a
number of sports, including soccer, football, wrestling, baseball,
softball, gymnastics, and cycling.
Andrea Hope
Forsman, EdD - Child Obesity Expert
Dr.
Forsman is currently an adjunct professor in the department of Health
and Exercise Science at The College of New Jersey and holds a research
position in the Nutrition Sciences Department at Rutgers University.
Andrea has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Community
Education from Montclair State University, a Masters Degree in Health
Fitness Management from the American University in Washington D.C.
and a Doctorate in Health Education and Behavior Studies from Teachers
College, Columbia University. Andrea's professional experience includes
designing, instructing, managing, and evaluating extensive health
education and wellness programs for Sony Music Entertainment, NBC,
Chevron Corporation, The United States Army Materiel Command, Campbell
Soup Company, and Johnson & Johnson. Most recently she has been
a Nutrition and Physical Educator for preschools, childcare centers,
and elementary schools. The focus of her current research and interests
are the different facets of childhood obesity prevention. Andrea
was recently a panelist for Children's Health: The Need for Increased
Nutritional & Physical Health in New York Schools. She is an avid
runner and enjoyed success running the Marine Corps Marathon and
more recently the Philadelphia Distance Run. Andrea is also a NAUI
Certified scuba diver.

Kim
has over 17 years experience in the corporate health and fitness
industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Movement
from Boston University and a Master Degree in Human Nutrition from
the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Kim is a member of the
American College of Nutrition. She is on the development team and
a master trainer for HFC's "Your Weigh...Together!" weight management
program. Other professional experiences as a nutritionist include
offering individual nutrition counseling, group weight management
programs and nutrition seminars to Sony employees, being a member
of Johnson & Johnson's Eating Tactical Team, being the nutritionist
for the GE Women's Health and Wellness Tour at the NYC Marathon
and contributing nutrition articles to Personal Fitness Professional
magazine. Kim is also a volunteer with Health Corps, a school-based
health promotion program, which educates children about wellness.
Kim has completed HFC's Health Improvement Consultant and Health
Coach trainings and is on the Health Coach development team.
Georgie Fear,
RD - Nutritionist
Georgie
Fear received her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition from Rutgers University,
then completed a dietetic internship at Cornell University. As a
Registered Dietitian and Personal Trainer, she has worked with obese
children, high school athletes, and hospital patients, as well as
healthy adults. Currently Georgie is working toward her PhD in Nutrition
at Rutgers, researching berry phytochemicals and metabolic syndrome.
Her love of food, nutrition and cooking is coupled with a lifelong
passion for sports training and fitness. Georgie has been a Junior
Olympic Track and Field medalist, marathon runner, and triathlete.
She is an avid rock and ice climber, and enjoys endurance cycling
events and anything else involving the outdoors.
